Elder Cox's Thirteenth Letter From Victoria and Tenth Month Mark

Hey family and friends,

This week has been great.  For Valentine's Day we had wonderful miracles poured out from heaven to us.  I hope your Valentine's Day was as great as mine.  Haha.  We had chicken from Pollo Feliz.  It's a restaurant here.  It's pretty good.  Great salsa.  There is a family in the ward that gave us that and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. That day we passed by an investigator's house and talked with her.  Her name is Demesia.  She was a referral.  I'll explain her great story in just a moment.  So we had a wonderful lesson with her that day.  Then that night we passed by another investigator's house whose name is Nancy.  She has been having some doubts about baptism.   Not feeling exactly ready.  But she really is.  So we passed by and she told us that she is ready.  It was a wonderful experience.  We then had her baptism last Saturday. It was combined with another sister whom the other missionaries in our ward baptized.   Her name is Rosario.  She was one of my other investigators that I gave them when they added another set of missionaries in the ward.  It was fun to see them baptize her also.  Last week was a great week.

Then we passed by Demesia's house yesterday and she said she was ready for her baptism too.  This Saturday we will be baptizing her also. So her story is a little more interesting.  She was up in Chihuahua for a little bit and had the opportunity to listen to the missionaries up there.  She enjoyed them but came back here to live.  She is a grandmother and has family here.  So she searched out the missionaries here and we received the reference from other missionaries in December.  We passed by a couple times but without ever finding her home.  So we just tossed it aside.  In late January we were walking home from a church activity and her daughter contacted us.  Said her mom was listening to us and wanted us to stop by and talk to her.  That we should hurry because the sister of Demesia was trying to get her to come to another church.  We asked if she was a member and she said no, but that her mom only wanted to talk to the Mormons.  Haha.  So we passed by the next day and found her there.  This Saturday is her baptism.  It should be great.  I'm excited.

Later this week on Wednesday we are having Elder Tenorio of the presidency of the Seventy coming to visit.  We got word that he will be giving a little talk and later having interviews.  That should be fun. Haha.  He gave us some homework.  Mosiah 12-16 to do.  I wonder if I'll pass the quiz.  jk.  No, I'm excited.  It'll be great.

Well, thats all folks...

I love you.  Have a great week.  When i talk again I think i will be in another city.  Last week of changes.  :(  But that's life.  Love ya.

Love,

Elder Cox
